Currently the United States is using out dated laws to restrict the use of drugs that have been proven to lack the negative side effects stated when they were made illegal by the state. These drugs include Marijuana,LSD, and MDMA. Many people have been tricked into believing propaganda used by the U.S. government to make these drugs appear to bad when in reality they can safely be used for both recreational and medicinal purposes. Benefits of legalizing include Increased research on medical purposes, new cures for depression, decreased prison capacity, and increase in tax revenues. It's time for the U.S. government to quit wasting money to put away people who are not criminals and start researching how these drugs can be used in a positive way. drug regulation will lead to a safer country.
