Protect consumers by regulating the prices the oil companies can charge for gasoline. The prices are rising literally by the day while more and more people are unemployed and/or if working are not recieving pay increases to off set this cost of living. The corporations will always make a profit but not at the expense of hard working consumers / taxpayers.
