School starts way too early in many schools and has been shown to be bad for students' health. 40% of schools start before 8 a.m. and has proven to cause sleep deprivation among teens according to American Academy of Pediatrics. Many teens are given hours of homework and stay up in the late hours of the night to do their work and end up getting around four to five hours of sleep. Starting school at 9 a.m. would benefit the students because they would not do as bad on tests as they would in the day. Students will do better on tests and will learn at a faster paste because they are more alert.
