It is becoming more and more apparent that our federal government cannot actually solve problems. We have had major problems for years with immigration, health care, the budget, foreign trade and other issues, but no solutions. In our two-party system, we expect to see differences of opinion and some contention, but at the end of the day it is the responsibility of our government to solve problems.
It appears that our representatives are instead spending their time bashing their opponents and preparing for the next election. I suggest that if they cannot start solving problems, they should quit their jobs and go home and get in the unemployment line. That would be a good opportunity to meet their constituents
