STOP annual pay raises for Congress. Pay raises should be voted on by their Employers (The People of the United States of America). When a Senator is no longer in office their benefits stop, Heath Care, Retirement Everything. The American People who they are supposed to represent do not have this privilege. Reduce their “Allowance” (a fund of up $900,000.00 to staff and run their offices); their starting ”allowance” is at $500,000. Change the Retirement Pension to benefit those who have served 20 years or more (currently the can receive their pension after only 5 years).
We have 535 Members of Congress. With this reduction we could end our debt problem.
