We the people are very interested in the basic idea of this website. We are saddened to see that this website appears to be used merely to placate the American people, yet another ruse to convince us that we have a say in what goes on in Washington D.C. This site has lost a lot of activity in recent years, probably because people realize it's something of a joke. We spend time signing a petition demanding that you DO something, only to find out that it merely obligates you to ask your chief of staff to send us a reply as to why you can't do something. I hereby petition the president, and all of Congress, to turn the petitions on whitehouse.gov into tangible action. A government that does not reflect the will of its people must be toppled. This is the foundation of the United States.
