In recent times churches have become actively involved in politics. They attempt to sway their members to vote for a certain candidate or vote a particular way for a ballot question. This is not what churches, under their non taxed status, are supposed to be doing. If they wish to enter the political scene they should be taxed accordingly. This money could then be used to decrease the deficit and strengthen our country.
