About 18 million college students in the US buy an avg. of 8-10 textbooks annually. Every term students have to go through the same painstaking process of buying and selling their textbooks. This takes much of their valuable time and money from their tight budget.
Avg. of 1 out of 6 student in community colleges drops because of textbook cost. Nothing much has been done to resolve these problems.
To resolve it Govt. & Colleges can work to create a program to invest in textbooks and start trading program.
Instead of selling their books to get 30% of price, students can trade it with program for min fees or with other students. Each book they give to another student or program will credit their account with the full value of the book. They can use this credit to request next term books.
