Start using building to farm up rather than taking up land for food

Every year hundreds of acres of rainforest are cut out to make room for houses. However one does not need so many houses does we merely build up as in city with a limited amount of space we can't fit millions of people because of the building that we built. The same could be done with crops we can build up instead of horizontally and we can take less space for farming.
