The organization often referred to by the White House as "ISIL" and by the media as "ISIS" prides itself on that name as it believes that the name both legitimizes its interpretation of Islam and strikes fear into the hearts of its enemies.
We the People ask the White House to begin referring to ISIS by a name it absolute hates. A name that they have threatened to kill people for using. A name for this plague that is used by our allies in the Middle East, by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, by US generals, and by Secretary of State John Kerry (http://www.businessinsider.com/tony-abbott-calls-isis-by-daesh-2015-1). Use the term "Daesh".
"Daesh" removes from ISIS its claim to religion. It removes from it its claim to fear. And it replaces this all with a name that mocks them.
