Wet foot, dry foot policy is a law that states that if a Cuban fleeing from Cuba is caught in the water in between the two countries (wet foot) then he is returned to Cuba, but if he makes it on to land (dry foot) them he is given the opportunity to legally stay and would qualify for expedited "legal permanent resident" status and eventually U.S. citizenship. I petition that Venezuelans should have the same policy for them if they successfully arrive to the United States by any means, due to the harsh and dangerous enviroment in which they currently live in.
