In the face of the now daily documented cases of Police Malfeasance across the country, it is imperative we create (and vehemently employ) a national precedent which requires all officers be held equally accountable to civilian laws when the officers break any single law in the line of duty. When lethal force is considered paramount by officers in every confrontation, until there is some tangible sentiment of restraint among officers, as well as a perceptible trust being restored during everyday interactions between the greater public and our officers, methods of subversion and aversion will continue to be adopted and employed by good citizens to avoid interacting with Law Enforcement for their own well-being. This is constantly and needlessly eroding the quality of our society.
