We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Statehood for Puerto Rico

Created by F.V. on December 04, 2016

On the general elections of 11/6/2012, 54% of the puerto rican electorate voted against the continuation of the colonial relationship between Puerto Rico and the United States. The political alternative to that colonial relationship that most votes received was statehood with 61%. Since congress is the entity in charge of admittng new states, we the people, therefore, ask the federal government to call on congress to act on the issue of statehood for Puerto Rico.
