Station trained, professional security personnel in all of our schools similar to the air marshalls...

In light of the recent shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in CT, this petition asks that government and law enforcement take action against violence in our schools by stationing trained personnel in every school throughout the United States to protect our children from violent attacks. Similar to air marshalls, these individuals should be highly trained and professional. Men and women who are capable of uncovering threats before they occur, and the ability to mitigate losses and combat threats of any kind should they actually take place in our schools. These resources should be highly trained by the FBI or similar bodies of government, preferably with prior military experience, who have the knowledge and capability to keep our children safe. This risk cannot be ignored any longer.
