FREEDOM FOR KURDISH LEADERS, STATUS FOR KURDISTAN

We, the people of Kurdistan are suffering from having no self-determination rights since the beginning of the 20th century after Sykes Picot agreement in 1916 and Laussane 1923. The principles declared by 28th President of United States Thomas Woodrow Wilson’s on self-determination were not put into practice for Kurds. Since the beginning of the 20th Century Kurds are in struggle and paying price for their self-determination rights and status. Political leaders who struggle for the rights of Kurds have been always jailed in Turkey. Mr. Abdullah Öcalan (jailed in 1999) and Mr. Kamuran Yüksek(jailed in 2016) are two effective Kurdish political leaders to solve Kurdish issue via dialogue in Turkey. Kurdish leaders must be free for peace.
