statutorily prohibit expression of political/religious views through the physical desecration of the flag of the USA

Created by E.M. on October 18, 2011

Over the course of this nation's history many men and women have lost their lives in military conflict. Most fought to preserve our way of life, and ensure a safe future. These men and women did not give up their lives to see the flag that they fought under burned and disgraced in an act of immature revolt or demonstration. This burning of our country's flag proves that some people do not appreciate the lives that were lost in past wars, and could care less about the men and women who were anything but selfish. These people need to be punished when they deface a great symbol of national unity and bravery.
