Statutory Minimum Employment Leave

The United States is the only advanced country in the world without a minimum requirememt for vacation time. Work/life balance is the most important factor in sustaining a healthy, happy life. Here are just a few of the many countries in the world with reasonable, government mandated vacation time:

Australia - 4 weeks standard, plus 10 public holidays
Austria - 5 weeks
Belgium - 20 days, plus 12 public holidays
Denmark - 25 work days, plus 9 public holidays
Germany - 4 working weeks, plus 9 to 13 public holidays

Please make personal time off a priority in the United States by making employers give at least 2-3 weeks to all employees, with the opportunity for more with tenure.
