During times of national crises Congress and the Administration should remain in Washington and work until final resolution is reached. Many of our hardworking citizens, including police, fire, medical and military personnel as well as numerous other professions, are required to forego Holiday vacations to assure the nations safety, security, economy and well being. Our elected officials should be held to as high or higher standards during times of crises, such as the impending Fiscal Cliff.
Congress should not adjourn and members should be required to remain in Washington. Administration officials, including the President, should remain in Washington in order to support congress in enacting necessary legislation and to approve and sign such legislation into law.
