The tradition of wearing the 1934 "Bumblebee" uniforms started back in 2012 as part of the celebration of the team’s 80th season. The Pittsburgh Steelers have worn them every season since. We the faithful of Steeler Nation love and cherish our hideous throw back jersey. The jersey represents the soul of the city of Pittsburgh: black, gold and full of fight. The Bumblebee jersey shows the beginning of Steeler football and we the faithful are proud of our club's cherished history and storied past. Steelers Nation asks the federal government to stand with us as we fight to keep our team history intact. We ask the federal government to take a stance against this decision by the Pittsburgh Steelers organization to retire this jersey and in effect retire a part of our history.
