Stem illegal immigration by requiring all employers by law to perform I-9 right-to-work verification for new hires.

Current immigration reform initiatives are applauded. There should be a reasonable path to citizenship for some number of immigrants to become part of the working class in America. However tying pork barrel, border security to immigration reforms will only waste huge amounts of taxpayer funds, and it will be almost completely ineffective in stemming the tide of illegal migrant workers. The U.S. does not have a wave of terrorists nor weapons of mass destruction crossing into this country at the Mexico border. It has a flood of Mexicans looking for jobs. The "only" economical and effective way to stem the flood is to force the responsibility of verifying the legal status of workers onto employers. Accompany that with a path to citizenship and then you've accomplished something.
