STEMPREP Funding for Minority Students

Created by U.P. on April 21, 2016

I have been informed that the Department of Defense has cut off funding for my summer internship program called the STEMPREP Project (aka PSTP). STEMPREP is an educational training program for minority students that provides them access to a high level education when it comes to STEM fields. I am one of those trainees in the program. Cutting this program you are not allowing minority students access to pursue their dreams in a field that is predominately white. You are essentially giving up on the next generation of scientist, engineers, and physicians. STEMPREP Project gives hundreds of talented minority students a guided pipeline towards success in the STEM field with internships across the country. Please reconsider your decision, this is the future we are talking about.
