The HCV virus now affects nearly 4 million Americans and is killing at a faster rate than HIV...and most of its victims aren't even aware of the facts, symptoms or precautions.
This is a simple goal to attain and could be done through health education in schools, public service announcements and a more aggressive organ donor campaign for those of us who are afflicted.
This could also include free programs for those patients who cannot afford the cost of the doctors visits, labs, treatment (including transplantation) and medications
We should not remain ignorant and just allow it to continue.
Knowledge is power.
It will not just go away.
