step in to prevent the continual threat of shut down of Government for parties to push through special interest policies

The recent debt ceiling debate and funding for disaster relief have shown that Congress is constantly embroilled in self-manufactured stalemate which leaves our economic situation at even greater risk of complete collapse. This is not acceptable. The funding of the Government, entitlements, emergency spending, and job creating policies should not be connected to these debates in any way.
