Steps towards reparation for civilian deaths from US military actions in Syria and Iraq

Created by E.G. on April 23, 2016

I heard on NPR recently that the Pentagon admitted to 20 civilian deaths in Syria and Iraq over the last five months of strikes. I also heard that in the courts there is the potential for funds from Saudi Arabia to be released for families that lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks. I noticed the call for reciprocity. I'm wondering what is being considered by the US government to repair relationships for the families of the civilians that have died from the strikes by US military? I believe if we take such reparation steps financially and politically, it will help improve our relationship with the Syrian and Iraqi people as well as our national global reputation.
