Currently live births and abortions are tax decuctible. Stillbirths are not. It should be changed in the IRS code. After all for that first year we bought a crib, diapers, car seat and incurred all the same expenses. Our baby Evelyn passed away 18 hours before delivery and all we get is a death certificate.
