There are no legal consequences for News organizations if they report misleading or even blatant lies to the American public other than losing the respect of many viewers. Unfortunately, many people do not realize they are being mislead and are making life decisions and political decisions based on this guided misinformation. It is time for the people of this country to be legally protected from those who would prey on our trust in the News industry. Fines should be implemented for this behavior or else the offenders must renounce the front of being legitimate News reporting services.
