Stop the abuse of Healthcare workers by the corporations who took over. "Healthcare is the fastest-growing sector, employing over 18 million workers", however, occupational injury is among the highest of any industry. It's estimated that around 50-60% of healthcare is paid for by Federal, State, and Local govt. Therefore the govt. is responsible for the harsh working conditions.
We should have the same rights as others under government contracts. B/c many undergo "specialized" training, Corporate labels us "Salaried Exempt" & forces us to work long hours (no OT pay) with NO RIGHTS (no breaks,no help = no regard for patient safety). PUTTING PATIENTS AT RISK!!
Govt. pays the most = MANDATE SAFE WORKING CONDITIONS/SAFE PATIENT RATIOS for ALL fields.
