Tired of writing blank checks to the medical industry, even when you have Health Insurance?
When we seek medical care with a hospital, it often feels to us like we're writing a blank check. You wouldn't buy a car or a home without knowing the asking price would you? But often times, middle class Americans are left paying for medical bills (even with insurance) that they never counted on receiving because we often aren't informed of all the hidden costs.
It's a deliberate attempt to exploit the American public when we find ourselves in situations of duress or are otherwise not informed.
When you go to the emergency room and wonder why you're paying much more than the copay, it might be because the doctor who treated you is out of network and didn't bother to tell you.
