This year has ushered in what seems to be a separate justice system for the wealthy in America. There are three public court cases that exhibit this in grand fashion. First, Ethan Couch, guilty of vehicular homicide. Then Dupont heir Robert H. Richards, guilty of raping his 3 year old daughter. Now, S.C. Johnson heir Curt Johnson, guilty of raping his 12 year old step-daughter. None of them with more than a year sentence in jail. As a country, the message we are sending right now is “Wealthy white men are above the law.” Mr. President, please have these sentences reviewed by the Supreme Court so as not to set a terrible legal precedence for the wealthy. One Government, for One people.
