Stop alienating non-violent offenders that have completed their sentences from obtaining good jobs,housing by B/G checks

This petition will prevent government, Federal and State, private entities from restricting non-violent offenders from being allowed employment, housing, and government benefits based on a criminal background check that show a conviction older than one year. This will prevent the individual from re-entering into criminal activity to support themselves and their families. This will give the individual a chance to correct themselves and become productive in society.
