At this very moment, millions of animals are used as test subjects for chemically dangerous substances.
These animals, such as mice, rabbits, cats, and dogs are not much different from your own pets, other than the fact that each year more than 100 million die a year due to testing for consumer products. These products range from everyday household cleaners to the cosmetics in the aisle at your local pharmacy.
According to Peta.org, mice and rats are forced to inhale toxic fumes, dogs are force-fed pesticides, and rabbits have corrosive chemicals rubbed onto their skin and eyes.
