Stop all assault weapons bans in the United States

Petition to stop and throw out all assault weapon ban attempts support the second amendment. Instead of banning assault weapons have stricter background checks making sure criminals and people that mental health problems don't get these weapons. This goes for high capacity magazines as well it doesn't matter if you have 10 rounds or 100 rounds. There is no point on banning something that does not effect the outcome of the user of the weapon so I say no on banning assault weapons and high capacity magazines.
