Secretary of State John Kerry said Sunday the United States will give Egypt $250 million in aid. The agreement would unlock more of the $1 billion in U.S. assistance promised by President Obama last year. "The United States can and wants to do more" says John Kerry. Taxes have been raised along with high unemployment in our own country. So how can we afford to give 250 million dollars up front to Egypt? Our government has over 16 trillion dollars of debt which means we will have to borrow the money to then turn-around and give it to Egypt. We Americans pay taxes to our government and that funding is supposed to be used for the good of all Americans. With the sequester Obama has cut funding to multiple agencies and furloughed govt. employees. We do not want our tax money going oversees.
