Republicans say that we have gun laws on the books that would stop the mass shootings that we see on college campuses, movie theaters and schools. In order to stop the conversation and to see if these gun laws that are on the books but not enforced will work, we should make sure that all states are enforcing their gun laws.
In addition, there should be a federal mandate:
1) that no one with a mental illness should be allowed to own our use a gun.
2) those who have guns are criminally negligent for knowingly providing a gun to anyone who has communicated a threat or is mentally ill.
3) gun owners are responsible for selling guns without a background check. even private person to person sells.
States who do not enforce these laws should loose all federal funding.
