Women's rights are human rights. After the Catholic hospital in the Catholic country, Ireland, refused to give Savita Halappanavar a life saving abortion and she died from a miscarriage, it is clear that Ireland does not value the life of women.
This type of barbarism should not happen to any woman. Ireland should be forced to change their laws so that the life of the mother comes first. If they do not change their laws we should not send them any foreign aid.
As an Irish American I am appalled that in such a modern world Ireland chooses to cling to barbaric beliefs.
