To stop all issuance of new H1B visas until unemployment level reaches below 6%

Created by G.Z. on December 24, 2012

The government allows companies to bring in tens of thousands foreign workers each year into America often to replace American workers with lower paying foreigners. The net effect is higher unemployment rate and lower wages for Americans. Plus the money that is earned from these jobs are often repatriated to the source country. In an environment where millions upon millions of Americans are unemployed there is no reason to continue this program. The only reason why corporations do it is out of greed. But even though there is a short term benefit to an individual company, there is a tremendous price we as a society pay. Long term this is devastating to our economy. When unemployment reaches a low mark this program could be resumed.
