We send far too much military aid to Egypt. In the aftermath of their first democratically elected president's ousting by the military it seems time to halt for a moment destructive aid to a country that is splitting at the seams.
An end to military aid would give our government and other world powers time to evaluate more closely the situation. Instead of sending millions and over the years billions in direct military aid advisers and observers might be more productive on the ground.
Hopefully this will minimize the bloodshed and bring about a suitable compromise to their delicate circumstance. Let's not continue to export death alone to solve our problems.
I encourage all those interested to read up on the subject and then decide to support or even fairly descent against this stance.
