This is the second anniversary of the Deep Water Horizon disaster, the worst oil spill in history, and NO SERIOUS ADVANCES in safety procedures, cleanup technology, and blow out prevention for ocean floor drilling have been made. The same insufficient technology is still being allowed that was used in 1979.
Since drilling operations have expanded since 2010, industry experts say an even higher risk exists of another, perhaps worse, oil blowout. If we have learned anything, it is that oil companies cannot police themselves!
