Our second amendment rights are under attack and we the people must remind government that they exist to serve the people, not the opposite. A few elected officials have no right to dictate and infringe upon law abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights. Understand that the term “assault weapon” is a term which the main stream media has coined and that the citizen has the right to utilize whatever weapon is his/her choice in defense and recreational shooting. The issue is the criminal element and that dis-arming the law-abiding citizen has been a hallmark of tyrants throughout history and the citizens of this nation will not be treated in this way. Statistics throughout the nation show, an armed society has a much less amount of violent crime than those areas where gun control exists.
