Stop allow the child support departments to suspend driver's licenses when the obligor is looking for work.

Created by B.G. on January 02, 2013

In this economy, it is already hard to find a job. If someone loses their job and is unable to make their child support payments, their driver's license can be suspended for non payment. This can further inhibit their ability to get a job, as they are limited to public transportation (if available) or relying on others to look for a job or get to work. Additionally, many employers are now requiring a driver's license to be hired.

We need to stop this practice if we are going to give parents a fair opportunity to look for and obtain work to provide for their children.
