Every year construction workers in certain parts of our nation are laid off of work when the weather gets too cold. These workers are then allowed to collect unemployment for the 3 - 4 months that they are laid off of work.
With our economy being in the shape it is in an abuse of the system like this should no longer be allowed.
Constructions workers get paid more than public school teachers, whom are required to either reduce their monthly pay during the school year to continue receiving a paycheck over the summer or find some other way to handle their financial needs over the summer. Construction workers should be subjected to the same rules the teachers follow. They should not get a break every year on the tax payers dime.
