My name is Cat Morrow, and I run http:// NeoHomesteading.com a site dedicated to clean food. Many people do not realize that the FDA does not require “obviously safe” ingredients (found here http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/fcn/fcnNavigation.cfm?rpt=grasList...) to be listed on food product labels. This list is known as the GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) list. This means that all of the items on this list may be found in your food, but simply are not listed on the label. This creates a system that is ripe for abuse since it is not the consumers deciding what ingredients are safe, but a combination of the FDA and the food industry. Stop the FDA's collusion with the food industry, and require all ingredients and processes applied to our food to be labeled.
