Stop allowing financial institutions to sell customers' mortgages to other banks without the customers' consent.

Created by M.B. on January 26, 2013

The ability of mortgage companies to sell their customers' accounts to other financial institutions flies in the face of free enterprise and the right of the individual to choose with whom they do business. We are allowed to choose who insures our home and who sells us other goods and services. There are few services more important than that which enables people to become homeowners. Every individual should have the right to refuse to have their chosen morgage company arbitrarily sell their account to a financial institution with which that person does not want to conduct business. For whatever moral, ethical or logistical reasons the consumer may have, we should all have the right to decide who handles the financing on our homes!
