Hundreds of people die every day from overdoses from medications that they have taken. Thousands more are admitted into rehabs with addictions. Prescription medications (opioids, benzodiazepines, amphetamines) are now the nations number one killer of young adults, and the leading cause of both drug abuse and overdoses.
The country is in the midst of an epidemic where pills are easier to get than cigarettes. Unfortunately, for most, this is just the beginning of a long and painful battle that will result in use of harder drugs, illegal activities and misery. Pharmaceutical companies should at least be ordered to stop producing such mass quantities of these pills & stop putting out stronger ones. There HAS to be a way the government can regulate this so it stops killing our youth!
