We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Stop allowing products made with child or sweatshop labor from being sold in the U.S.

Created by L.B. on September 06, 2016

Many companies like Nike , Adidas, ect.. say they buy or make their clothes from good places when in reality they often buy from third party companies so they can sell their clothes without saying their employees were paid unlivable wages or none at all. This is a large problem because the majority of clothes in the U.S. are made in sweatshops. Slavery may be illegal in the United states but we are still a large supporter of slavery due to how much child labor and sweatshop products we buy. Cocoa is also mainly farmed by children who don't get paid which is something Americans very often consume. This is why we need to take action and inform the public of these unjust acts and not allow companies to sell slave made products in our country. We are to the free not supporting slavery.
