Many scholarships are based on ethnicity, and I believe that it is quite unfair. Scholarships should be based on academic achievement or athletic achievement, not on whether or not you are a certain race.
I work just as hard as others to earn scholarships to put myself through college, but I have come to realize that there are many scholarships that I am not allowed to apply for simply because I am caucasian. As a child, I was taught that everyone is created equal, but why because of my skin, am I not allowed the same chance for a better future free from debt? Stop allowing scholarships to be given based on skin color.
