Stop allowing various factions of our elected officials from using taxpayer money defending unconstitutional laws.

After spending an estimated $50 million taxpayer dollars and 89 hours of congressional time fighting against Obamacare, the GOP now wants to spend $3 million of taxpayer money defending Section 3 of DOMA, already described as unconstitutional under the idea of "equality and fair treatment for all". Since government is using our money, I want a law put in place that limits the number of times the same fight can be fought with our money. Furthermore, a limit on the amount spend should be instituted and possibly a vote among all the citizens on whether the legal expenses are worth it. Think how much good could have been done with $50 million and how much time was lost that could have been used to work on current problems affecting us now.
