Stop American taxpayer subsidies to International oil companies that make billions of dollars in annual profits.

Unbeknownst to most Americans, many international oil companies like Shell Oil, ConocoPhillips, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, and BP benefit not only from tax incentives in place since the inception of the American oil industry, but also millions of dollars in tax subsidies. All of these companies have made record profits in the past year, while firing many employees, yet claim that their production capabilities would suffer if they stopped receiving our money. The claims range from "oil is becoming harder to find" to "the loss of money will drive up prices at the pump." However, Exxon Mobil's CEO said in March 2011 that "...there is no shortage of supply in the market" and Exxon, Chevron, and BP's US CEO all said ending subsidies will have "minimal impact" on their company. End the subsidies now!
