Stop Anglo American and Rio Tinto corporations from destroying the Alaskan Bristo Bay Watershed.

Created by D.B. on September 26, 2011

Anglo American and Rio Tinto corporations are attempting and fighting to open a 2 MILE WIDE, 2,000 FT DEEP mine to dig for gold and copper. They are also wanting to build 50 ft dirt walls to hold back TENS BILLIONS TONS OF TOXIC WASTE including cyanide, sulfuric acid, arsenic and other toxic chemicals. all of this will be done on a fault line that is an ACTIVE EARTHQUAKE ZONE! Problem is that it's in the Alaskan Bristo Bay Watershed. Right where the sock eye salmon breed and support multiple ecosystems from the native communities, to the woodland animals, and the beluga whales in the ocean, Just to mention a fraction. This is a natural disaster waiting to happen. 20 jewelers including Tiffany and Co. made a vow to not buy, use, or sell any products coming from this mine if it is opened
