Stop animal abuse at the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center.
The Center is a taxpayer-funded federal institution. As part of its "research":
- Newborn lambs are left to die in open fields from exposure and predation.
- Pregnant sheep are injected with so much testosterone that when the lambs are born, they have deformed genitals.
- In a "study" of sexual libido, a cow was immobilized and left with six bulls. Center scientists allowed the bulls to mount the cow for hours. Her hind legs were broken from the repeated mounting, and the cow died later that day.
- Researchers without veterinary degrees are permitted to perform major surgeries on animals.
- The Center is currently exempt from the Animal Welfare Act.
This abuse must be stopped.
